We stayed at the climbing cub, the washer starts with cold water but rinses in hot, the knob was broke maintenance brought another one but to no avail. It was very clean just except the lady bugs. We will come back just won’t stay at this one because they still have cabins with a real wood burning fireplace.

I was very pleased with mostly everything. The cabin was awesome and very cozy. I was very pleased that it was equipped with many utensils/dishes etc. in the kitchen . We would definitely come back again. The only one thing I was disappointed in was with the explorer promotion that we were not able to use. I believe it’s not fair the way the promotion of a free admission per day is not honored on the day that you check out, which is the one day only that we could have used it. I believe it should be the days you are booked.

My husband and I stayed there a couple of weeks ago for a long weekend getaway. We would definitely recommend and stay there again. Very pleased overall. We wish the tv downstairs had been a little bigger (it was tournament time). Had pretty much everything you could need in the kitchen as far as supplies for cooking. No shortage of bath towels. beautiful view. We will be back!!

The log cabin was beautiful and accommodating. All utensils needed to cook and drink anything were available. The décor was beautifully themed. Very secluded and private. We saw 4 bears from the balcony. The hot tub cover on the inside is broken, the black part soaks when it is closed and the chlorine drys it out so bits and particles of the black tarp material are floating in the hot tub. The cabin could have been a little more comfortable, I would have preferred a king sized bed & updated pillows. And a heads up about how steep this cabin is would be great. I had no idea about this drive leading to the cabin in my 2 door coupe and low profile tires, possibly 4x4 is needed. My car is in the shop today needing brakes and rotors. Overall I had a great time.

There were just a few things that need improvement. The cabin had a musty smell. The furniture was worn and the chairs weren’t clean. Only a few jets in the hot tub worked. Cob webs everywhere. Our stay was very pleasant we enjoyed our stay at the climbing cub. The only thing that was disturbing was the toilet seat had a paper liner around the seat indicating it was cleaned however, the inside of the bowel was dirty and there was urine on the outside of it. Other than that no complaints

Cabin needs some TLC. Light bulbs needed changed, batteries in Temotes needed replaced. We replaced 2. Now for the main issues. You can see daylight through the log joints in the downstairs bedroom and in other places. The seal on the door going from the bathroom to the back porch daylight and beetles coming through. The cabin just needs to be gone through. Our experience overall was good. It's very cozy and the wife and I were celebrating our 16th Anniversary. So we enjoyed just sitting around and enjoying the scenery! Thank You!

We stayed at Climbing Cub. Great Place to stay. Checkout stated we must run the dishwasher and put the dished away. We found this the morning of our departure. So we washed all the dishes by hand. I don't recall ever having to put up the dishes at a rental, just run the dish washer. Thinking through this a bit more now Auntie Belham’s (AB) has a quality control problem, AB don't have a person looking at the dishes to verify they are clean. I thought that was what the cleaning fee is for or stated the cleaning company AB paid. Unload the dishwasher and dry them and verify there are clean. My other comment is from the Cleaning Company, upon arrival a note from Agape was left requesting a tip if we liked how clean the cabin was. If we did not like how clean it was could we demand a payment? In the past I have always considered this part of the cleaning fee. So If I did not tip the cleaning company does that mean next renter gets poor service? I think you guys do a great job at the desk and answering emails about cabins. I recommend AB modify the process for cleaning dishes and what notes are left by your cleaning crew. It cannot cost that much more to unload a dishwasher by a cleaning company. Maybe in the future you should tell your customers that they are expected to put up clean dishes before they checking so they can plan for that. I would recommend you but I cannot wait to a friend about your dishwasher policy.

The customer service is great, no problems making reservations, checking in and out. The cabin was everything we expected. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely use and recommend Auntie Belhams. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Our only complaints have to do with the cabin, A Climbing Club. The bed in the bedroom is worn-out and needs to be replaced. It leans toward the left side and is difficult to get in and out and sleep in. Also, the sheets were too small for the bed. The kids stated the bed in the loft was comfortable. It was difficult to cook due to poor lighting in the kitchen. I would have rated 5 stars if the bed was better. I appreciate that I received a phone call checking in on us.

We had a pleasant stay. The climbing cub needs a bath mat so the floor doesn't get ruined and it could use another cutting board. There is a lot of damage being done to the outside of home by a woodpecker? Also a bumblebee has made a hole in roof over front door and is possibly making a nest. Thought you might want to know.

Really enjoyed the cabin. It was clean and well maintained. Directions were great and we really liked that the staff called us an hour before the office closed to make sure we were getting checked in. The amenity pass is one of the things that sold us on the cabin!

-How is the drive to this cabin?

The last five minutes of your drive to the cabin will be steep and winding mountain roads, but they are well paved and 4 wheel drive is not necessary unless there is winter weather such as snow and/or ice.


-How close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is this cabin?

It is a 4 mile drive to the parkway of Pigeon Forge and a 7 mile drive to the parkway of Gatlinburg.


-How many vehicles will fit in the driveway?

2 vehicles max. A third vehicle will not fit and street parking is prohibited. 


-Do I need to bring extra toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, soap, etc?

YES… We provide 1 roll of toilet paper per restroom, one trash bag per trash can, 1 roll of paper towels in the kitchen, 1 small bar of soap per sink. You are responsible for bringing your own extras. We also provide 4 towels and 2 wash clothes per F/Q/K bed, 2 towels and 1 wash cloth per twin bed, and 1 kitchen set (1 hand towel, 1 washcloth, starter kit of dish detergent).  We do not provide shampoo, conditioner, lotions, laundry detergent, coffee or coffee filters, salt and pepper, charcoal for grills, daily maid service or flashlights/candles/matches (too often these items were taken home by guests so we stopped providing them).


-Is this cabin dog friendly?

NO… And we charge $250 when evidence of dog/animal is found inside unit.


-Can I use the fireplace year round?

No. Local fire codes restrict the use of fireplaces April through August and we take this very seriously.


-Will I encounter wildlife?

Possibly. Black bears are attracted to food and are very curious and destructive, so DO NOT leave food in your vehicles or unaccompanied food on decks and porches and grills. If your cabin does not have a bear proof trash can, please call us for trash pick up.

And remember, you are surrounded by flourishing nature and a national wildlife reserve, so it’s not unusual for bugs to get into your cabin. We do a very good job of spotting and cleaning bugs before your arrival, but we cannot guarantee they won’t return, just as you can’t prevent 100% of bugs from entering your own home. Please be respectful of the fact that we don’t have total control over nature.


-Will the hot tub be clean for my arrival?

Absolutely. In fact the water may still need time to heat up on the day of your arrival. Just keep the cover on the hot tub and turn on the jets, as this will heat the hot tub quicker. To keep your hot tub clean for the length of your stay, keep the cover on the hot tub when not using it and rinse off your skin in the shower before entering the hot tub. Unwashed skin will dirty a hot tub quickly, and we only drain & clean the hot tubs after check-out. If there is sediment in your hot tub upon check-in, it is because your cabin’s water comes from a well.

Vacay Stay Guarantee

The VSG gives your reservation a cancellation policy. Without the VSG you will have a zero cancellation policy and zero reschedule policy. Should you have to cancel your reservation at any point, for any reason, you will lose what you’ve paid up to that point. No exceptions, since the cancellation policy is offered at booking. By not purchasing the VSG, you will accept that you forfeit all monies paid if you have to cancel your reservation.

The Vacay Stay Guarantee allows for:
A 15 day cancellation policy for 1-3 bedroom properties.
A 30 day cancellation policy on 4+ bedroom properties.

For cancellations made outside of the 30 or 15 days, Auntie Belham’s refunds the entire amount of your payments made minus the cost of the VSG (which is only 7% of the nightly rate).

For cancellations made inside of 30 or 15 day time frame, when the cancellation policy has expired, you will be allowed to reschedule your stay in that same property within 6 months, but no monies will be refunded. After the 6 months all monies are forfeited.

Without the Vacay Stay Guarantee, absolutely no refunds.

Absolutely no refunds for early departures for any reason including but not limited to: weather, road conditions or family emergencies. We are not responsible for such occurrences and will therefore not refund money because of them.
