Recently remodeled, Shadybrook is a 2 bedroom 2 bath home resting along the edge of a crystal clear Smoky Mountain stream. Step out onto the large deck from the living area or either bedroom and enjoy a great view of the babbling stream. The deck offers a relaxing hot tub, a gas grill, chase lounges and a table with chairs for enjoying meals outside. While enjoying the outdoors, roast some hot dogs or marshmallows over a fire in the fire pit located at the edge of the stream. Please note that the firepit is seasonal. Back inside, the living room offers a large flat screen TV and an oldschool arcade game. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook your family and friends homemade meals. The bedrooms are spacious with large closets and ensuites; each equipped with a hair dryer for your convenience. This home offers limited data wifi meaning emails, social networking and general web surfing is okay, but streaming music, videos and games is not. Shadybrook has everything you will need to make your Smoky Mountain Vacation a memorable one!

At the last minute we decided to rent a cabin. All was taken, however Shadybrook Chalet was the only thing that was left for rental. Heather assisted me and was very patient with me. The only draw back was I did not know the funds would be taken out from my account immediately. All and all we were very pleased. Thank you for great service.

We enjoyed our experience. Easy check in, cleanliness of cabin was above average. The cabin was well stocked and everything in working order. We took advantage of free activity tickets and had no trouble with claiming activities we were interested in. A few suggestions instructions on tv and dvd use would be helpful we couldn't get dvd's to play we didn't know how to use direct tv controls. We really enjoyed the firepit and arcade games with our grandson. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We would stay again.

My family & I stayed at Shadybrook and LOVED it. I was worried when I rented the chalet that it would be to far from where I wanted to be but it was not far at all. It was at that "Perfect" spot. I would stay there again no questions asked.

Bearway to heaven was very high up with an extreme climb for the last leg of the road with a seriously steep driveway. I would like to be told in the future about situations like this. I read the comment book in the cabin and everyone that had stayed was concerned about the same thing. The master bedroom had an animal smell but thankfully you guys moved us to another home.

I was very pleased with the vacation rental although it looked like a house on the outside felt like a cabin on the inside ,loved the big deck with the hot tub and the fire pit and creekside,enjoyed listening to the water flowing down the stream! I like the fact that we got a paid adult admission to several attractions everyday. I would definitely come and stay again and I think my boyfriend and I are planning for October to see the beautiful fall colors.

Very friendly staff. Stayed at Shadybrook and it was better than pictures represent. The kids loved the stream behind the chalet and roasting marshmallows over the stream-side fire pit! The inside of Shadybrook was beautiful, relaxing, and had everything we needed.

The house was great, the location wonderful. Everyone at Auntie Belham's was friendly and helpful. The only problem was a very verbally abusive neighbor. During the day he was fine, but at night he was very loud and had a shot gun.

We had the best experience with Auntie Belhams. Everyone was so nice and helpful and the cabin was an absolute dream! We will definately use Auntie Belhams again in the future. The only disappointment was while we were staying, we decided to stay an extra night and was told that it was an extra $199 for one more night. We changed our minds. I think there should have been some kind of a reduced rate for the extra night since we were already in the cabin and it had not been rented to another yet.

Cabin was very nice, clean. We had a great time. I think there could be a better system for towel service as there weren't many towels left for 4 people and the option was to exchange them at the office-which was 20 minutes away-not very convenient. I would suggest leaving more towels, or advising guests before hand of that situation as we would have planned accordingly. That is the only issue we had. It was quiet, very relaxing, beautiful stream running in the back and the back deck and hot tub were accessible to the whole length of the house. Just beautiful!

Loved the cabin! It was perfect. Only flaw I noticed was when we arrived the closed up smell was overwhelming. I know people had stayed there recently so I'm not sure why is was so bad. We literally had to "air it out" before we could stand to be inside. Bought some air freshened too. Of course thus was a minor thing. We very much enjoyed the friendly service and helpful attitudes. Will definitely be staying with you guys next time.

-How is the drive to this cabin?

The drive to this cabin is steep and winding in areas. No 4 wheel drive necessary except during winter weather.

 

-How close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is this cabin?

This cabin is less than 7 miles from the parkway of Pigeon Forge and 8 miles from the parkway of Gatlinburg.

 

-How many vehicles will fit in the driveway?

2 vehicles of any size will fit comfortably in this driveway.

 

-Do I need to bring extra toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, soap, etc?

YES… We provide 1 roll of toilet paper per restroom, one trash bag per trash can, 1 roll of paper towels in the kitchen, 1 small bar of soap per sink. You are responsible for bringing your own extras. We also provide 4 towels and 2 wash clothes per F/Q/K bed, 2 towels and 1 wash cloth per twin bed, and 1 kitchen set (1 hand towel, 1 washcloth, starter kit of dish detergent).  We do not provide shampoo, conditioner, lotions, laundry detergent, coffee or coffee filters, salt and pepper, charcoal for grills, daily maid service or flashlights/candles/matches (too often these items were taken home by guests so we stopped providing them).

 

-Is this cabin dog friendly?

NO… And we charge $250 when evidence of dog/animal is found inside unit.

 

-Will I encounter wildlife?

Possibly. Black bears are attracted to food and are very curious and destructive, so DO NOT leave food in your vehicles or unaccompanied food on decks and porches and grills. If your cabin does not have a bear proof trash can, please call us for trash pick up.

And remember, you are surrounded by flourishing nature and a national wildlife reserve, so it’s not unusual for bugs to get into your cabin. We do a very good job of spotting and cleaning bugs before your arrival, but we cannot guarantee they won’t return, just as you can’t prevent 100% of bugs from entering your own home. Please be respectful of the fact that we don’t have total control over nature.

 

-Will the hot tub be clean for my arrival?

Absolutely. In fact the water may still need time to heat up on the day of your arrival. Just keep the cover on the hot tub and turn on the jets, as this will heat the hot tub quicker. To keep your hot tub clean for the length of your stay, keep the cover on the hot tub when not using it and rinse off your skin in the shower before entering the hot tub. Unwashed skin will dirty a hot tub quickly, and we only drain & clean the hot tubs after check-out. If there is sediment in your hot tub upon check-in, it is because your cabin’s water comes from a well.

Vacay Stay Guarantee

The VSG gives your reservation a cancellation policy. Without the VSG you will have a zero cancellation policy and zero reschedule policy. Should you have to cancel your reservation at any point, for any reason, you will lose what you’ve paid up to that point. No exceptions, since the cancellation policy is offered at booking. By not purchasing the VSG, you will accept that you forfeit all monies paid if you have to cancel your reservation.

The Vacay Stay Guarantee allows for:
A 15 day cancellation policy for 1-3 bedroom properties.
A 30 day cancellation policy on 4+ bedroom properties.

For cancellations made outside of the 30 or 15 days, Auntie Belham’s refunds the entire amount of your payments made minus the cost of the VSG (which is only 7% of the nightly rate).

For cancellations made inside of 30 or 15 day time frame, when the cancellation policy has expired, you will be allowed to reschedule your stay in that same property within 6 months, but no monies will be refunded. After the 6 months all monies are forfeited.

Without the Vacay Stay Guarantee, absolutely no refunds.

Absolutely no refunds for early departures for any reason including but not limited to: weather, road conditions or family emergencies. We are not responsible for such occurrences and will therefore not refund money because of them.
