Amberwood is a classic! Pet friendly and located between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. You won’t be disappointed in this comfy log cabin!

Amberwood has an open kitchen and living room. The kitchen is well-equipped, fully stocked for you to cook your favorite meals and sit at the bar stools or dining table! The cozy living room has a sleeper sofa, flat screen TV, and gorgeous stone wood burning fireplace. There is a king-sized bedroom on this main level, as well as a full bathroom and a washer/dryer. You can also access the amazing deck to breathe in the Smoky Mountain air and soak your tired bones in the bubbling hot tub!

Head upstairs to a lofted game room, with an arcade game, and another king-sized bedroom. There is also a second full bathroom.

Amberwood is a fantastic option to call home for your Smoky Mountain vacation!

We welcome your dogs, but please see pet restrictions and be sure to register your pet when placing your reservation.
ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING allowed inside this cabin.
Steep and winding mountain roads to cabin.
There is construction taking place nearby that is not affiliated with Auntie Belham's. They may begin early in the morning.

I really am thankful for the courtesy we where shown when booking. How easy check in was. How clean the cabin was. Over a great experience. The only complaint I have is the need for laundry detergent, shampoo, the basics. First cabin I’ve stayed in that supplies so little. Other than that. Excellent stay and experience.

Good. No hassle. Very clean beautiful cabin which we plan on renting again year after year. Just a piece of advice the shower heads are harsh. You can get a shower heads with detachable wand which would be perfect for cheap and check the outlets seems like anything that is plugged in falls out nothing major easy fixes. Me and my wife love the cabin we saw a mother bear and get two cubs plus there's a groundhog that lives right out front it was nice seeing nature. Everything was beautiful

We really enjoyed our weekend staying in Amberwood. It was a very nice cabin. The only complaint I have is about the people who were staying to the left of us. They were pretty loud. Both with music and just loud screaming and talking. It sounded like non stop partying. However, our cabin was beautiful, cozy, had everything we needed, and we were happy with the one we chose. Check in was so easy and non stressful. I would recommend yall to anyone looking to getaway to the mountains!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The cabin was very comfortable, we even had a visitor(bear). I do think that the cabin could use some new utensils (lacking spoons, forks, etc). And gates on the deck would be great being that the cabin is pet friendly. The dishwasher needs adjusted. You can see where it rubs the front of the stove and both storm doors need work. But all in all we enjoyed our stay.

Overall it was very nice. Clean and just what we were hoping for in a cabin in the mountains. Needs some TLC, broken mini-blinds made it look a tad shabby and the dishwasher is just set in the cabinet - needs to be permanently mounted. It was GREAT to have some firewood provided and the customer service was outstanding; check in was smooth. When we called about the few things mentioned above, we were warmly greeted and offered to take care of things right away! We would come back to this cabin in a minute.

We loved our stay at the Amberwood cabin however a few recommendations: blender does not work, perhaps two rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom as only one roll provided and we were not aware to bring with us. Very friendly staff! This is our second stay and we will be back

Very nice rustic cabin with modern conveniences. The upstairs shower at Amberwood is leaking and I told the office but I'm not sure if anything was done. You could see some water damage above the microwave on the ceiling in the kitchen. The kitchen had everything including dishes, mixer, coffee pot etc. The deck was great to sit with a cup of coffee in the morning. The staff at auntie belhams was very nice, friendly and informative from the start of my reservation thru my checkout. We will definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at Amberwood. We had actually stayed in the same area the previous year but didn't really realize it until we reached the Amberwood cabin. We have had a very good experience with this cabin rental service. The cabin was very clean. The office made a courtesy call to us the next day after our arrival just to make sure everything was going well and if we needed anything. The area was perfect because we had our family pet with us. The cabin is secluded just enough to not disturb your neighbor's when you are outside with your fur baby. There is plenty of parking because our daughter and son drove in to stay with us later on the day we arrived. We look forward to staying in this same area again on our next trip to the smoky mountains. We love this cabin service, the cabins and the area.

Very Clean ! Biggest Problem - No Bear Cage for Garbage Cans. Had 4 bears come up on our deck and trash all over. Once we were not there, one time bear was sleeping in back yard. Next time was middle of afternoon while we were home. Last one was at 4:30 in the morning and it was HUGE. Also could use more skillets, pots and pans.

The cabin was very nice,but if you used the space in vanity area of bathroom you could enlarge pool table area to accomodate real playing ability and perhaps have another sleeping area. We saw a few activites lilly barn and train museum on our own and Cades Cove from a previous stay in area. One problem that was pretty serious and I told your office my neice was bitten by a bedbug and found dead ones in dustruffle apparently when they change linen this was overlooked so exterminator and housekeeping need to be alerted.

The service was good as usual. The cabin was less than great, un level floors, heat vent in kitchen kept coming out when you touched it with your foot. Missing deck board. Hanging light in the fridge. Nasty wood work/molding. This cabin need a overhaul. Hot tub looked new and was fine. Would recomend auntie bel hams, but would not recomend this cabin.

Convenience was excellent. We used to stay in your rentals often until about 10 years ago. Then we scaled back our trips. That said, our return to the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area was not what we expected because the cabin was not in the best shape. It was okay, but it smelled very musty/moldy. The yard area had trash in it. The toilet leaked. The hot water wouldn't work in both showers at the same time. The floor covering was coming up. Still, it was okay as far as cleanliness and structure. We will try for a newer cabin next time.

Overall it was great. Two minor complaints tho. We only had enough hot water for 1 shower. Very inconvenient. Despite having two showers we either had enough hot water for one person to get ready. The other had to wait. Also it would be nice if you could combine the tickets instead of only getting one per day. We stayed two days and there were two of us. Would have been a much more attractive feature if we could have used the two tickets at once. Besides that very beautiful, very cozy, and provided a stay we will always remember.

Everything was wonderful except the hot water heater. It is apparently very small and runs out of hot water way to soon. Thank goodness there were only two of us staying in the cabin and not six. The bathroom sink doesn't drain well either. Everything else was great!

Good! You may want to consider a safety recommendation. We were there the night of the bad cabin fire and we realized we didn't the evacuate location in case we had to. Thought it might be nice to add that info in your check in info. Smoke detector locations, CO2 monitor, evacuation route map

Everything about the cabin itself was great. Everything was clean, well stocked and working properly. The only problem was the cabin grounds. You need to have someone take about half an hour and pick up the trash in the back yard. I didn't like sitting on the back deck and looking out over a bunch of soda cans, wads of aluminum foil and cigarette butts. Kind of spoils the whole experience.

It was wonderful! Check in was great,directions was right on. The staff was great in providing us with where to get groceries and so forth. The cabin was great,loved it! We hope to come again and bring the family,but we will need a bigger cabin,maybe you all can help us with that.The hot tub was great.Hope to see youall soon.Thanks wself

As usual the office staff was great. We are repeat customers and always recommend Auntie Belhams to others. The layout of Amberwood is good. Very cozy and comfortable and had nearly everything we needed. This particular cabin was a quite a bit more dusty though. My wife owns a cleaning business so she notices the details of good cleaning. Pool table was good, but the area for it is small. Shorter pool sticks would make playing more competitive and enjoyable. Overall very good. We will continue to use Auntie Belhams in the future.

-How is the drive to this cabin?

The drive to this cabin is steep and winding in areas. No 4 wheel drive is necessary except during winter conditions.

 

-How close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is this cabin?

This cabin is 5 miles from the parkway of Pigeon Forge and 8 miles to the parkway of Gatlinburg.

 

-How many vehicles will fit in the driveway?

We recommend 2 vehicles of any size, max.

 

-Do I need to bring extra toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, soap, etc?

YES… We provide 1 roll of toilet paper per restroom, one trash bag per trash can, 1 roll of paper towels in the kitchen, 1 small bar of soap per sink. You are responsible for bringing your own extras. We also provide 4 towels and 2 wash clothes per F/Q/K bed, 2 towels and 1 wash cloth per twin bed, and 1 kitchen set (1 hand towel, 1 washcloth, starter kit of dish detergent).  We do not provide shampoo, conditioner, lotions, laundry detergent, coffee or coffee filters, salt and pepper, charcoal for grills, daily maid service or flashlights/candles/matches (too often these items were taken home by guests so we stopped providing them).

 

-Is this cabin dog friendly?

Yes… We charge $75 per dog, up to 2 dogs. No more than 2 dogs are permitted. The dog(s) must not be left alone in the cabin unless they are in a crate. We charge accordingly for damage done by dogs such as scratches and chew marks, and for extra cleaning due to shedding in beds, soiled carpet/rugs and fecal matter left behind. Do not let your dog(s) sleep in beds or relieve itself inside the cabin.

 

-Is there another cabin nearby, in case more family wants to join?

-Can I use the fireplace year round?

No. Local fire codes restrict the use of fireplaces April through August and we take this very seriously.

 

-Will I encounter wildlife?

Possibly. Black bears are attracted to food and are very curious and destructive, so DO NOT leave food in your vehicles or unaccompanied food on decks and porches and grills. If your cabin does not have a bear proof trash can, please call us for trash pick up.

And remember, you are surrounded by flourishing nature and a national wildlife reserve, so it’s not unusual for bugs to get into your cabin. We do a very good job of spotting and cleaning bugs before your arrival, but we cannot guarantee they won’t return, just as you can’t prevent 100% of bugs from entering your own home. Please be respectful of the fact that we don’t have total control over nature.

 

-Will the hot tub be clean for my arrival?

Absolutely. In fact the water may still need time to heat up on the day of your arrival. Just keep the cover on the hot tub and turn on the jets, as this will heat the hot tub quicker. To keep your hot tub clean for the length of your stay, keep the cover on the hot tub when not using it and rinse off your skin in the shower before entering the hot tub. Unwashed skin will dirty a hot tub quickly, and we only drain & clean the hot tubs after check-out. If there is sediment in your hot tub upon check-in, it is because your cabin’s water comes from a well.

Vacay Stay Guarantee

The VSG gives your reservation a cancellation policy. Without the VSG you will have a zero cancellation policy and zero reschedule policy. Should you have to cancel your reservation at any point, for any reason, you will lose what you’ve paid up to that point. No exceptions, since the cancellation policy is offered at booking. By not purchasing the VSG, you will accept that you forfeit all monies paid if you have to cancel your reservation.

The Vacay Stay Guarantee allows for:
A 15 day cancellation policy for 1-3 bedroom properties.
A 60 day cancellation policy on 4+ bedroom properties.

For cancellations made outside of the 60 or 15 days, Auntie Belham’s refunds the entire amount of your payments made minus the cost of the VSG (which is only 7% of the total stay + taxes).

For cancellations made inside of 60 or 15 day time frame, when the cancellation policy has expired, you will be allowed to reschedule your stay in that same property within 6 months, but no monies will be refunded. After the 6 months all monies are forfeited.

Without the Vacay Stay Guarantee, absolutely no refunds.

Absolutely no refunds for early departures for any reason including but not limited to: weather, road conditions or family emergencies. We are not responsible for such occurrences and will therefore not refund money because of them.
