WELCOME Y’ALL... to The Pioneer Trail Retreat in The Great Smoky Mountains. This sprawling property offers 3 separate cabins, a pool with a pool house, a hot tub, and an attached game room, and PLENTY of easy parking. We know you come on vacation for a fun and memorable experience, different from your everyday life, and that is exactly what these owners had in mind when they renovated this entire property in 2020. This Retreat is truly Pioneering the way for unique lodging in these beautiful Tennessee mountains! Every cabin comes furnished with cozy new furniture and Smart TVs, and a Conestoga wagon equipped with beds for extra sleeping! (Wagon available for summer months only). Yeehaw! And last but certainly not least, this property is PET FRIENDLY! With plenty of private space and land, your dogs will enjoy their wide open games of fetch.

The Main House on the property offers 4 spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, a large living room with a dry bar area, and a big ol’ custom built dining room table to fit the whole family. And we all know “family” means friends and teammates too! Yes, The Pioneer Trail Retreat is a great place for traveling teams, youth groups and family reunions. WIFI only in main house.

There are plenty of lounges and Adirondack chairs for everyone to relax by the pool and on the raised pool house deck. And inside the screened in pool house is a fridge, sink and table for hosting all those snacks and drinks every swimmer needs after a few hard minutes of playing. And to top the whole experience off, there’s a built in poolside firepit!
The Pool is an outdoor pool and will be open from Memorial Day until Labor Day.

“The Oregon” is the smaller 2 bedroom cabin on the property complete with a porch, living room, fully stocked kitchen and full bathroom.

And then there is the sweet little “Wildflower” cabin. This one comes complete with 2 sets of large bunk beds, a Smart TV, and a full bathroom.

The Pioneer Trail property was perfect for what we needed. We loved all the outdoor space and barely spent any time inside! Plenty of parking and bedrooms/beds for the group that travels down each year. We had a few issues and there was quick responses and even repairs! Definitely looking forward to going back!

The Pioneer Retreat was absolutely perfect for our family gathering. Maintenance came purty quick when called. The only issue we had with the main house was the tv's in the back room could not pick up signal. The house was very clean And Auntie Bellhams is very professional.

Very helpful anytime I called to ask questions. We loved, loved the place, it was so nice to be on a dead end road and not have any neighbors. It was great for the young grandkids to be able to roam and not have to worry about traffic. I wished they had more room, or they came to clear the trash in the middle of the week. I felt bad for leaving all the trash in the kitchen. Also would have been nice to have the pool heated, the kids would have went earlier in the morning if it was. We all agreed, when we take a vacation next year, it will be hard to top the location and amenities this house had, thanks so much for our great vacation rental.

The cabins were beautiful! We loved the decor. The attention to details (the saw with the property name) were noticed. It was clean and well kept. We saw the pool guy and lawn keepers frequently. The internet/ access to our data/phones was the only downfall. We assume that is due to the beautiful location in the mountains. Xplorie was an awesome bonus!

You guys provided an amazing service! From the reservation process through the check out. Cabin was immaculate clean and as advertised. The maintenance team are really friendly and helpful. As well the office staff which received us with a big smile and available to help with questions regarding the area. I will rent with y’all again. Definitely we will back next year and will be renting with y’all. We had rent in the past with other companies and this time was the best experience. Thanks for everything!

-How is the drive to this cabin?

The drive to this cabin is steep and winding in areas. No 4 wheel drive necessary except during winter weather.

 

-How close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is this cabin?

This cabin is roughly 2 miles from the parkway of Pigeon Forge and 7 miles from the parkway of Gatlinburg.

 

-How many vehicles will fit in the driveway?

Several vehicles of any size will fit comfortably in this driveway. The drive to this cabin may be tricky and difficult if pulling a car/motorcycle trailer, but the parking area is trailer friendly.

 

-Is this cabin dog friendly?

Yes… We charge $75 per dog, up to 2 dogs, dogs cannot individually exceed 60 pounds. No more than 2 dogs are permitted. The dog(s) must not be left alone in the cabin unless they are in a crate. We charge accordingly for damage done by dogs such as scratches and chew marks, and for extra cleaning due to shedding in beds, soiled carpet/rugs and fecal matter left behind. Do not let your dog(s) sleep in beds or relieve itself inside the cabin.

 

-Can I use the fireplace year round?

No, local fire codes restrict the use of fireplaces April through August. After the fires of 2016 our community takes this very seriously.

 

-Is there another cabin nearby, in case more family wants to join? 

Nothing within walking distance, but Seasonal Memories is right up the road. For more recommendations you can text or call our Reservations Team for details: 865-436-661

 

-Do I need to bring extra toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, soap, etc?

YES… We provide 1 roll of toilet paper per restroom, one trash bag per trash can, 1 roll of paper towels in the kitchen, 1 small bar of soap per sink. You are responsible for bringing your own extras. We also provide 4 towels and 2 wash clothes per F/Q/K bed, 2 towels and 1 wash cloth per twin bed, and 1 kitchen set (1 hand towel, 1 washcloth, starter kit of dish detergent).  We do not provide shampoo, conditioner, lotions, laundry detergent, coffee or coffee filters, salt and pepper, charcoal for grills, daily maid service or flashlights/candles/matches (too often these items were taken home by guests so we stopped providing them).

 

-Will I encounter wildlife?

Possibly. Black bears are attracted to food and are very curious and destructive, so DO NOT leave food in your vehicles or unaccompanied food on decks and porches and grills. If your cabin does not have a bear proof trash can, please call us for trash pick up.

And remember, you are surrounded by flourishing nature and a national wildlife reserve, so it’s not unusual for bugs to get into your cabin. We do a very good job of spotting and cleaning bugs before your arrival, but we cannot guarantee they won’t return, just as you can’t prevent 100% of bugs from entering your own home. Please be respectful of the fact that we don’t have total control over nature.

 

-Will the hot tub be clean for my arrival?

Absolutely. In fact the water may still need time to heat up on the day of your arrival. Just keep the cover on the hot tub and turn on the jets, as this will heat the hot tub quicker. To keep your hot tub clean for the length of your stay, keep the cover on the hot tub when not using it and rinse off your skin in the shower before entering the hot tub. Unwashed skin will dirty a hot tub quickly, and we only drain & clean the hot tubs after check-out. If there is sediment in your hot tub upon check-in, it is because your cabin’s water comes from a well.

Vacay Stay Guarantee

The VSG gives your reservation a cancellation policy. Without the VSG you will have a zero cancellation policy and zero reschedule policy. Should you have to cancel your reservation at any point, for any reason, you will lose what you’ve paid up to that point. No exceptions, since the cancellation policy is offered at booking. By not purchasing the VSG, you will accept that you forfeit all monies paid if you have to cancel your reservation.

The Vacay Stay Guarantee allows for:
A 15 day cancellation policy for 1-3 bedroom properties.
A 60 day cancellation policy on 4+ bedroom properties.

For cancellations made outside of the 60 or 15 days, Auntie Belham’s refunds the entire amount of your payments made minus the cost of the VSG (which is only 7% of the total stay + taxes).

For cancellations made inside of 60 or 15 day time frame, when the cancellation policy has expired, you will be allowed to reschedule your stay in that same property within 6 months, but no monies will be refunded. After the 6 months all monies are forfeited.

Without the Vacay Stay Guarantee, absolutely no refunds.

Absolutely no refunds for early departures for any reason including but not limited to: weather, road conditions or family emergencies. We are not responsible for such occurrences and will therefore not refund money because of them.
