Introduction to Cades Cove
Located just 27 miles from Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Cades Cove is a scenic valley in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Home to beautiful mountains and abundant wildlife, itās a great place to visit if you want to hike, bike, horseback ride, camp, or sample some local history. The Cove contains historic buildings harkening back to the first European settlements in the early 19th century. The area is also known as an old Cherokee hunting ground.
While cabin sizes and prices vary, you can generally find what you need whether youāre staying as a couple or small family, or if youāre planning a large scale group retreat or family reunion. Some of the cabins will even accommodate pets.
