5 Fun Outdoor Activities to Do at Our Gatlinburg Cabins in the Mountains

Visitors come from all around the world to experience the natural beauty of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Located at the doorstep of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, this scenic area offers excellent weather and some of the most breathtaking scenery in the country. When you stay at our Gatlinburg cabins in the mountains, you can enjoy plenty of outdoor fun without even leaving your vacation rental! Here are just some of our favorite outdoor activities to do at our cabins:

1. Have a Picnic

When the sun is shining and a warm breeze is blowing, there is nothing better than dining alfresco! All of our cabins come with fully furnished kitchens, so you can easily whip up some sandwiches and side dishes to enjoy on the deck. Some of our properties also come with outdoor grills, so you can have a cookout with hamburgers, hot dogs, and steaks. There are many large supermarkets and smaller groceries that you can visit on your way to the cabin, or you can pick up some locally grown ingredients at the Gatlinburg Farmers Market.

2. Be an Amateur Photographer

If you like to take photos, you’ll find plenty of stunning scenery to capture right at your cabin. With panoramic vistas of the mountains, brilliant wildflowers, and critters of all shapes and sizes, your camera will be firing on all cylinders! The view from your cabin’s deck also provides the perfect backdrop for a family photo to include in your holiday cards.

3. Go for a Swim

During late spring and the summer months, having a place to cool down after going for a hike in the national park or a walk downtown is a major advantage. Lean back in the tub on your cabin’s deck and let the jets take you to paradise as you admire the majestic views of the mountains all around you. To make the experience even more special, plan it so your dip in the hot tub coincides with Smoky Mountain sunrise or sunset.

5. Walk Along the River
