In addition to the beautiful fall colors, October also brings a number of frightly fun Halloween events to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge! The Smokies really get into the holiday spirit, with spooky activities running throughout the month. To help you make the most of your vacation, Auntie Belham’s Cabin Rentals has put together a guide to six of our favorite ways to celebrate Halloween in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge:
The Ghost & Haunt Tours of Gatlinburg run year round, but they are especially fun around Halloween. These excellent tours take visitors to various haunted locations around downtown Gatlinburg, where you will hear true stories and local legends that have been told in the Smokies for generations. The visit to White Oak Flats Cemetery is one of the tour’s most popular segments.
Kyker Farms offers some excellent Halloween activities! Kyker’s signature “Kornfusing Korn Maze” certainly lives up to its name, with plenty of twists and turns that will keep you guessing. At night, you can complete “The Trail”, a heart pounding journey through the corn fields that you won’t soon forget. “Creatures of the corn” lurk around every corner, so you better not drag your feet!
Zombie Blasterz is another exhilarating night time activity at Kyker Farms. Guests will use a high powered paintball gun to shoot live zombies as they ride through Kyker’s Dead Woods. Don’t worry, the zombies don’t shoot back!
