Come on out to the Parkway as Gatlinburg transforms into a live winter wonderland for one enchanted evening in early December! What to Expect

The 42nd Annual Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade is a wonderful parade through the middle of downtown Gatlinburg with lighted floats, marching bands, giant balloons and equestrian units. Of course, the highlight of the parade is a visit by Santa Claus himself! Even the parade route itself is festive as it runs along streets decorated for Gatlinburg’s Winter Magic, a dazzling display of more than 3 million lights throughout the city!

Dates, Times and Location

Gatlinburg Winter Magic LightsThe Gatlinburg Fantasy of Lights Parade will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017, along the famous Gatlinburg Parkway. The parade route runs from traffic light 1A on Highway 321/East Parkway to Highway 441/Main Parkway, where it continues on from traffic light #3 to traffic light #10. The parade steps off at 7:30pm and over 60,000 people are expected to attend, so get to the Parkway early to grab a great viewing spot!

Admission and Viewing Information

The parade is a free event that can be viewed anywhere along the parade route! If you want the best seats along the route, there are special bleacher seats available in advance for only $25. Adults may have one child on their lap without purchasing a ticket for the child as long as the child is under 5 years old. Note that strollers will not be permitted in the bleacher seats and no stroller parking will be available. The bleachers are located in the TV zone at traffic light #3, which is near the beginning of the parade route. The seating for the bleachers starts at 5:30 PM on December 1, and all bleacher seat ticket holders will receive a Santa hat on site!
