What to Expect

The 42nd Annual Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade is a wonderful parade through the middle of downtown Gatlinburg with lighted floats, marching bands, giant balloons and equestrian units. Of course, the highlight of the parade is a visit by Santa Claus himself! Even the parade route itself is festive as it runs along streets decorated for Gatlinburg’s Winter Magic, a dazzling display of more than 3 million lights throughout the city! After the parade, be sure to stick around town to experience all the fun family Christmas activities in Gatlinburg!

Dates, Times and Location

The Gatlinburg Fantasy of Lights Parade will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018, along the famous Gatlinburg Parkway. The parade route runs from traffic light 1A on Highway 321/East Parkway to Highway 441/Main Parkway, where it continues on from traffic light #3 to traffic light #10. The parade steps off at 7:30pm and over 60,000 people are expected to attend, so get to the Parkway early to grab a great viewing spot! Viewing Information

The parade is a free event that can be viewed anywhere along the parade route! Keep in mind that often the night before the parade many visitors who plan to watch the parade will arrive to set up and leave fold out chairs overnight.
