The region is finally warming up and blooming for the new season, and spring events are planned all season in celebration. Now that the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is blooming into a kaleidoscope of colors, there’s no better time to take a walk on the wild side and see nature at its most beautiful. To educate and entertain National Park visitors, botanical experts will be leading a Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage event in Gatlinburg.

Starting in early March, locals and visitors alike can enjoy three months off food, fun, and entertainment. The highlight of this event is the burst of color blooming throughout the Smoky Mountain area, and with so much going on it is easy to see why Springfest In Gatlinburg is the perfect way to celebrate winter’s end.

This May, from the 25th to the 28th, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is hosting a sidewalk sale at Pigeon River Crossings. This is one of the best Pigeon Forge events for Memorial Day 2012. For 14 music-filled days, the Smoky Mountains come alive with Dollywood's Barbeque & Bluegrass Performances. Located in Pigeon Forge, TN, Dollywood Amusement Park will feature over 300 musical performances from bluegrass artists from across the country. From May 26 thru June 10, 2012, the park's admission provides access to this amazing musical event, delicious East Tennessee barbeque, and all the shows, games, and rides Dollywood features.
